Hi all , I am changing my format from a picture a day to Daily Art. Which will come in any medium or style. I will still be throwing drawings in among it but not only drawings like I have been.

This I created digitally totally out of my head. Believe it or not this started out as a finger painting and after blending this is what I came up with. I have called this Magical Sky.

These eyes are purely experimental both done with a normal everyday biro. I achieved the skin colour by using orange, green and pink pens.

This is what the sky outside my studio window looked like this morning. This is just a quick 5 minute study done using a bit of charcoal, my putty and electric erasers.

I drew this late this afternoon, better late than never. This is my dog Muttley. I only used a vine stick of  charcoal on this one.

This is a purple flower I have in the garden growing on a bush, I do not know what it is called as I am no gardener. I just weed and water and plant what I like the look of, but I do like to draw them.

This is a study of a piece of  bark in my garden from an Australian eucalyptus tree. I picked this subject for its form.
The time of this drawing was about 7 am. sitting outside on my love seat. The birds were flying about me and the mosquitoes were having a feast, but I was determined to sit out there and finish it even while being eaten alive.

Today I decided to draw this biro cap. It really does not matter what you draw as long as you are persistent with it. Doing this everyday has freed me up immensely with my art. Not everything produced is going to be a masterpiece. If it was there would be no challenge and it would all soon become very boring. So get out your pencils, crayons, paints or whatever your choice and have fun.

Today I drew my tape measure. It was a fun exercise but I think I will change over to a whiter paper. I do not like drawing in this particular journal.

I drew this in white charcoal on black paper 29.7 x 21 cm.
I created the dramatic effect by just concentrating on the highlighted areas of the face.

I  consider myself very fortunate to have all of my dad's painting tools as he was a house painter. I treasure them dearly and use them regularly creating my artwork. This paint scraper is one of them.
